The Content Page Planning and Layout

This Mojo magazine which i did further research on for a glimpse of how rock magazines such as Mojo present their content page. Through this specific content page i really liked the composition of the whole layout where the whole image is standing and the features are written to the other side of the page. 

The layout of the features on this content page have inspired me to do a similar formation such as this for my own magazine, however, the image i was planning to produce on my content page was not of one but of two images near each other for example: this image of Billboards content page where the page numbers are beneath the artists and the smaller images are presented near each other. 

The box in where the date and issue are placed i would also create a similar concept onto my magazine underneath the masthead, which will also be on the top of my contents page but to link with the idea of the colour produced i would change the masthead to a light pink.

This contents page is very dissimilar towards the Mojo one and the layout of the Features etc. For instance the left hand side of the content page has a Billboard exclusive "No1" chart of songs and albums which are recommended the best and in-between, whereas the other side has the features with 3 smaller images and a larger artists alongside the features on each page. 

From this contents page i found the outline of the Blue and the Black beneath the content and below create the pages borders of separation whilst, making the distinct connection to the written content, i really like that idea to create a type of separation from the page and fill in the certain gaps with a bit of vibrant colours.
For example: i would place a light pink in the borders of my content page but with the concept of Mojos magazine where the date and the issue is however in the solid font presented here on Billboards.
